As President and CEO, Andy has led the company in marketing, strategic planning, and business growth for all of Upstate Special Risk Services. Andy founded Upstate in 1974 as a full service brokerage general agency providing creative insurance products, underwriting expertise, marketing support, and education.

During the past 23 years, Andy founded or co-founded LifeMark Securities Corporation, LifeMark Associates and LifeMark Partners. In 1993, Andy was instrumental in forming LifeMark Associates, a national insurance consulting firm and, soon thereafter, created LifeMark Partners. LifeMark Partners is a national marketing organization, with Upstate Special Risk Services as one of its charter members. LifeMark Securities Corp. was founded in 1983, based on Andy’s firm understanding of the business and the needs of the independent broker. LifeMark Securities Corp. is a national broker-dealer servicing independent financial service professionals in major population centers throughout the United States. Andy’s leadership and commitment to excellence is evident as he continues to serve these organizations in an executive capacity.

Throughout Andy’s professional career, he has served as an Officer or Director of many insurance organizations, to include NAIFA Rochester, NAIFA NYS, NAILBA and the IAFP, in addition to serving on the Board of Directors of a major life insurance company. Currently, he is President of NAIFA NYS serving to further the best interests of the institution of life and health insurance and of life and health insurance professionals. In addition, Andy’s expertise is widely recognized throughout the industry and has been published in numerous insurance and financial journals. He also serves as an expert witness on insurance and securities litigation. Outside of his work responsibilities and engagements, Andy enjoys spending time with his children, participating in various outdoor activities such as boating and motorcycling, and maintaining an extensive collection of fish.
